Pink Wave Festival on Lake Wörthersee
From September 11-14, 2008, Wörthersee hosted the first-ever PINK WAVE Festival for the international gay community (GLBT).
To celebrate the end of summer, Carinthia, the Wörthersee Region and Pörtschach, together with event organizer COMMUNIGAYTE, invited gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders, along with friends of the community, to discover this unique part of the world for themselves.
The program encompassed a beach club at the Promenade Lake Resort, Club Night at the Pörtschach Congress Center, a party cruise on Lake Wörthersee with live DJ’s, plus many other daily activities in and around the entire town. In addition, local businesses, hotels and restaurants offered their guests countless opportunities for recreation, sports, dining and entertainment, guaranteeing a fantastic time for everyone involved.
